“If you’re looking for information about a Do-It-Yourself EV conversion, look no further.
Richard van Wyhe and EV4U have what you need. After purchasing an EV kit from another supplier, I was very disappointed by the lack of information and support. Hoping to fill the gaps in my knowledge, I turned to EV4U’s Online EV Workshop. Bottom line, EV4U gave me the information I needed to make good choices about converting my vehicle. They provided not only general electrical education, but “how to” demonstrations and the information I needed to personalize my installation. I couldn’t have completed my project as quickly, or professionally, without their help. EV4U’s Online EV Workshop was worth every penny!”

In 2012, EV4U converted this 1974 VW Karmann Ghia to electric. It was my daily driver for 7-1/2 years and 97,000 miles. The EV conversion components were then removed and placed in another vehicle, and are still on the road. Tried and true.

This 1991 VW Transporter Doka was converted to electric for a customer in 2013. It is a daily driver and still uses all of the original conversion components. In 2021 we added this solar array which provides thirty plus miles per day of plug free electric transportation. The solar array can be removed in ten minutes if desired. You too can have a unique, reliable electric conversion. EV4U can show you how you can just turn the key and go, first time, every time.

The 1974 orange Karmann Ghia components new home. Still going strong.
